About Me

Hello! My name is Laura. I am 22 years old and I'm from the North West of England.

Three years ago, after fourteen years of being an animal rights activist and vegetarian, I saw a documentary called 'Earthlings' and I decided to go vegan. It was a very easy decision for me. Since then I've discovered so many amazing new foods, products and brands that I thought was criminal to keep to myself, so I started this blog to share my wisdoms with the world.

As well as all things vegan, I'm also very interested in writing, travelling, reading, watching films with a mean girl clique and a female protagonist and drinking tea. I don't like sports or people who don't like dogs.

This year I graduated from Bath Spa University with a degree in Creative Writing and I am currently attempting the challenge to visit every country in the world and document my experience. As well as this I am creating recipes (the goal is to get to 100) that cost under £1 to make, all of which are free to access right here on vegantearoom and I am perfecting a recipe book 'Around the World in 80 Vegan Dishes' which will hopefully be available soon.
  1. Hey! I saw your post on Tumblr and that's what brought me here--I stayed for the pomegranate couscous. :) Haha. Seriously though, your blog is super cute! I'm a vegan food blogger just starting out. Maybe we could support each other? carefreevegan.wordpress.com
